But what would happen if we were to write the personal statement that reflects who we actually are, where we've actually been and what we've actually seen? Did your research have as much impact on your decision to go into medicine as witnessing a friend nearly die of a heroin overdose at that binge party you went to? Did your internship teach you more about the legal system than your dad being arrested for pot possesion?
This site is dedicated to those personal statements - scrupulous facts, omitting nothing. I will be writing several personal statements of my own, and I want to see yours, as well.
I want to give a long over-due public thank you to all of the wonderful writers who have already submitted their stuff to this website. Almost all of it is deeply personal, and every word of it has been thought provoking. It takes a lot of courage to put your words and your life out there like that, even anonymously. Each one of you has displayed an enormous amount of talent. So thank you.
